does salt help cure acne - Using Salt Water to Help Heal Acne Scarring - An Effective Technique to Try Today

Salt water is the thing that covers most of our planet. It's also the thing that most health care professionals will tell you (if you have a skin condition of pretty much any sort) can help you to achieve clearer skin - at least that's what I was told! Now while that actual sea can be very helpful and is the most 'potent' remember you can make up a solution of salt water yourself. Here are some ways to do that.

The first thing you will need is table salt. No wait, that's not it! Table salt (while effective) is not the best salt you should use. Use a natural salt if you are able to. Himalayan Pink salt is usually pretty good, but there are other types of 'mined' salt that you can also try. The more natural, the better. The problem you see with table salt is that it is highly processed. The natural benefits of salt and other trace minerals are removed and then the remaining substance is often bleached (to make it look pretty). While it goes well with chips, it's best if you're able to source a natural type of salt for your scars. They aren't expensive either.

Fill up a small bowl with some warm water (a bit warmer then lukewarm). The warm water helps with three things: helping the salt to dissolve properly into the water, by opening the pores on the skin in order to help them breathe and absorb the nutrients in the salt as well as well as making your skin more agreeable! I think that you'll agree with me when I say that warm water does feel quite a bit better then cold water, most of the time.

Mix in a few teaspoons of the natural salt into the water. Two or three heaped teaspoons is often enough. Mix the water for a bit with a spoon if the salt doesn't dissolve first time.

Soak a cotton bud with the salt water solution and apply it to your face. This is the part we've all been waiting for! You'll know if you got that correct ratio of water to salt right. If it stings too much, add a bit more water (to dilute the strength). If it doesn't feel 'good' enough for you, add a little more salt. A bit of experimentation will help a lot here.

The key to using any type of natural treatment is consistency. You might need to do this treatment every day for a year before you clear your scars. It might take a few weeks or longer. The point is that you need to keep going. It only takes a few minutes to do the salt water treatment, and it's something that I recommend you try. Keep going, and have faith in your ability to heal.
